Creating FINTRAC

An agent may provide you with their clients identification for you to create a FINTRAC.

Instructions

  1. Log-in to Matrix

  2. Go to Tools and then Webforms

  3. Go to impersonate agent, select the agent, and choose yes to impersonate

  4. Open the transaction and click go to forms

  5. Open the FINTRAC

  6. Fill in the following fields (see example FINTRAC below):

a) Transaction property address: the property that is involved in the transaction

b) Name of sales representative and brokerage name

c) Date information Verified

d) In the verification of individual section please fill in information from the ID (full legal name, full address on ID, date of birth, and occupation)

e) Federal/Provincial/Territorial Government-Issued Photo ID: fill in type of document, document ID number, issuing jurisdiction, country, and expiry date

f) Client Risk (on page 3) : check off status (usually Canadian citizen or resident physically present)

g) Purpose and Intended Nature of Business Relationship: check type of property
