The Social Media Specialist will champion our company’s social media marketing and advertising. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for connecting with customers by inspiring action through influence. That passion shines through as they engage with daily followers, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers.
This candidate will have a demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced environment while delivering multiple priorities.
What You Do:
- Work with the social media team to assist in optimizing posting schedules, content, and follower engagement
- Develop and deliver social media optimization (SMO)
- Create, curate, and manage all published content while nurturing engagement
- Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and sales
- Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers
- Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions
- Expand community while amplifying our message with reach
- Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns
- Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review
- Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)
- Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
- Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results
How you add value:
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
- Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
- Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
- Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
- Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO and social search
- Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress.
- Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
- Has the ability to identify potential negative situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- Ability to quantitatively assess web analytics and data to propose solutions in response to market feedback and user activity trends
- Experience with Hootsuite and/or Hubspot are considered an asset, but not necessary
